These veteran units consist of especially hard-bitten warriors with experience of fieldcraft, intelligence gathering, and aggressive reconnaissance in the most adverse of conditions. They tend towards a culture of personal initiative that is – unusually among the massed ranks of the Imperial Guard – tolerated by their superiors.
