Paula Duvå takes documentary photography into the hyper-real, as a concrete trace of war, when she documents smoke trails from the actions of fighter planes and missiles – a fleeti ng but nevertheless concrete trace from the otherwise distanced and in many ways traceless warfare of today. Duvå positions the viewer in the context of the sky, yet her intentions are not about cloud formations, rather it is to challenge one to take a closer look at hidden structures we may not be aware of.
