This Japanese whetstone (sharpening stone) from the world-renowned KING Deluxe range features a medium #800 grit finish, ideal for normal maintenance of sickles and other garden to ols, as well as chisels and kitchen knives. This type of absorbent whetstone needs to be soaked in a water for 5 minutes before use. Then sprinkle with water to achieve a smooth surface during sharpening. Rinse and wipe dry with a hand towel when done, and allow to air dry at room temperature. Do not leave in water.
