The Kinnaird Evolution Tenor Drone Reeds were designed in 2014 to improve the brightness and brilliance of the tenor reeds and are now bright but not buzzy. The unique curved carbon fibre tongue results in a rich and cane-like sound. The ever-popular Kinnaird Bass Reed is largely the same as the previous design with slightly more power. These reeds are preferred by many top soloists and pipe bands around the world. The reed body and seat is made of waterproof glass fibre and the tongue is made from carbon fibre, making them stronger than many other reeds. In addition, their design makes them extremely air efficient and are resistant to moisture. The nose cone is made from poly material. These tenor reeds blend well with the bass to create a cane-like experience with minimal amount of maintenance and effort. Adjustments are made easy with the O-ring bridle and allen key.
