Carved from a stump of seasoned Ash that suffered die-back. In a nod to the Japanese art of kintsugi, its many fractures are embraced. Splits proudly define the aesthetic and are r epaired using a pine resin glue, that is hand-made from locally collected resin. Finish with a combination of carved texturing, fine sanding and wax. It is then inscribed with the coordinates of where the timber was discovered and its species, anchoring it to a specific location where for many decades the tree defined its urban surroundings.
