FROM SCRAPS TO STUNNING! Join us and learn how to create a beautiful and unique piece of art in the style of Kinusaiga! Kinusaiga (roughly translated as "silk picture") is a tradit ional Japanese craft that creates detailed mosaic-like pictures from fabric scraps. It's quilting without thread where you transfer a design onto a backing, carve slits along the pattern, and carefully tuck the edges of colorful fabrics into the grooves! Come paint with fabric! We will help guide you through the process from start to finish. All supplies are included to make your fabric art piece. Design sizes range from 6.5"x6.5", 7.5x7.5", or 5.5"x7". We will have some assorted fabrics to select from but if you have SPECIFIC fabrics you would like to use, please bring them with you! An additional wood frame can be purchased for $12. Show more
