This wall sculpture is made and sculpted from borosilicate glass. It depicts a decaying flower from which two small figurines emerge. One figure is carrying the other in an intimate pose, positioned as if they are about to kiss. The piece is the first of its kind in a series where clara schweers explores the figurative in glass on a micro scale. The transparency of the material allows the composition to flow into itself, with the figures and flower visually merging. In both the flower and the figures, the sense of a moment just before an action is central to the work. As if something is about to happen.
