VIDEO TUTORIAL + KIT 'Nova pendant' This is the second tutorial in my ‘Here Be Dragons’ design series. I will provide written PDF tutorials for purchase in my shop, along with simpler, free video tutorials on my YouTube channel, all featuring kit options. In this tutorial, I will demonstrate how to create an open-top weave on a base frame. You will learn how to tension-set a bead, add your base and weaving wires, and shape them around the frame. I will be using an amazing uranium or vaseline glass focal sphere. This glass contains a trace amount of uranium that causes it to glow bright green under UV light. However, it is safe to handle and wear since the uranium content is minimal—less than what individuals are exposed to from sunlight daily. Many beautiful glassware collections feature this type of glass.
