The Kitchen Genie is a multi-purpose, easy-to-use kitchen gadget that allows the user to open jars, bottles, screw tops, ring pulls and cans with ease and minimal effort. Perfect for people with dexterity issues and poor grip. Michael Booth, who is living with dementia, has written a blog post on the Kitchen Genie. You can read his 5 star review here. Key features A five in one opener for jars, bottles, screw tops, ring pulls and cans Size: 15 cm/6 inches long Screw top size up to 3cm diameter Small enough to fit into a pocket How it works The two hooks on the outside of the Kitchen Genie help the user prise off stubborn vacuum-sealed jars by hooking one under the lip of the lid and using the other to break the seal, allowing the lid to be twisted off with ease. The hooks can also be used to lift the ring-pull on tins and peel back the lid safely. The soft ring of the Kitchen Genie grips screw caps on bottles securely, helping the user to twist and break the seal. On the other side of the ring is a built-in bottle opener for drinks. At the bottom end of the Kitchen Genie is a handy slot that makes opening ring pull drinks cans much easier. Just line the ring-pull up with the slot and lever the Kitchen Genie upwards to pop the seal. The ergonomic curve of this daily living aid fits comfortably into your hand for secure grip when twisting or levering. At just 15 cm/6'' long, the Kitchen Genie is small enough to slip into a bag or pocket. What’s included 1 x Kitchen Genie Note: Handle colour may vary from ones pictured.
