It requires third party certification and periodic testing. TSCA Title VI is the US federal equivalent under the Toxic Substances Control Act. It sets national formaldehyde limits for composite wood products, closely aligned with CARB 2, and also requires third party certification and labelling. Both apply to the plywood rather than to the finished piece. They are named standards with numbers behind them, which is why we quote them instead of saying the wood is safe.
