This Kitronik Current Sensor Breakout Board uses the ACS711 sensor and is designed to measure currents ranging from -25A to 25A. The current to be measured flows through the termin als labelled IP+ and IP-. The board supports various wire gauges with different hole sizes for connection.The sensor outputs an analogue signal between 0.3V and Vcc-0.3V through the OUT pin. At zero current, the output voltage is half of the supply voltage; it moves proportionally as current increases or decreases. When powered by 5V and connected to a 10-bit ADC microcontroller input, the sensor's resolution is approximately 55mA.Operating on the Hall Effect principle, the sensor must be kept away from strong magnetic fields to ensure accurate function.
