Engine Rubber Mounting - rubber-to-metal bonded mounting used in the engine mounting assembly, with M10 fixings. It sits between the engine mounting bracket and the chassis mountin g foot, carrying the weight of the engine and isolating engine vibration and noise from the chassis. A perished, split or collapsed mounting allows excessive engine movement, which can be felt as vibration through the body and can load the exhaust and ancillary connections.
