Accessing the various output modes is done via Klarus' new tactical switch system. The unique flat metal switch features a large contact area and is very easy to operate. A long press of 1.5 seconds or more will turn the light on/off, while a double-tap will engage the strobe mode in any condition. Momentary-on can be activated by lightly pressing the switch when off, for those emergency situations. Also, the switch is indented to prevent from accidentally activating the light.PowerThe XTQ1 can be powered by either two Lithium CR123A batteries or a single rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 battery. Depending on whether you choose primary or rechargeable batteries, you will get greater outputs or longer run times. Rest assured, you don't have to worry about improperly inserting the batteries, as reverse polarity protection will prevent from damaging the light.
