Chopsticks handcrafted out of Muso bamboo and coated in a urethane lacquer for durability. 23cm long Kai Nobuo Studio Nobuo Kai makes cutlery from Mouso bamboo (Phyllostachys eduli s) which grows in Oita Prefecture. After having studied woodwork under Tatsuo Tokimatsu based in Yufuin, he started to work following in his father Haruo Kai's footsteps. His cutlery made with great care, shows the advantages of bamboo's stregth and flexibility.
