Solid protection and fit with skates for what we use them for (roller hockey with a ball). On one pair I removed the mesh sleeve, to just use the optional straps to attach. Made them much easier to get off and on. If you remove the liner, the knee piece will need an additional strap unless you have snug fitting pants.
