Wines like this are the reason German Chardonnay is all the craze right now. Comparisons hardly do it justice but if you were to mistake it for serious Burgundy, you wouldn’t be fa r off. Think St. Aubin, and you’ve got a good idea of the direction this wine is going. The use of around 30% new oak bring an irresistible creamy core, balanced by a serious flinty- gunpowder edge and some hints of toast. Aromas of candied lemon peel and clementine round things out beautifully.
