Knife-Edged Weaver's Hooks, also known as "Chaghoo," are specialized tools designed to cater to the specific needs of rug weaving artisans. These handmade hooks are carefully crafted to ensure exceptional quality and performance, making them indispensable for anyone involved in the creation and restoration of intricate Oriental rugs. Available in three distinct variations, the Knife-Edged Weaver's Hooks cater to different stages of the rug weaving process. The "ilmack (knotting)" hook is designed to aid weavers in the meticulous task of tying individual knots, while the "baft (knotting ends)" hook is intended for securing the knots at the ends of the rug. The "khaab (pulling)" hook is ideal for pulling yarn through the rug's foundation during the weaving process. Each of these hooks is skillfully crafted with a knife edge, allowing for precise control and effortless cutting of yarn while weaving. The ergonomic design of the hooks ensures user comfort and ease of handling, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. Their durable construction guarantees long-lasting performance and reliability. Knife-Edged Weaver's Hooks, or Chaghoo, are essential tools for rug weaving artisans, offering unparalleled precision and functionality. With their handmade craftsmanship and attention to detail, these hooks are perfect for creating and restoring exquisite Oriental rugs, making them a must-have addition to any weaver's toolkit. These hand made Weaver's Hooks ("chaghoo") vary slightly in size due to the way they are made. Primarily used to re-pile a rug, the larger hooked "Ilmack", can be used on most repair jobs, especially for tying knots. The finer hooked "Khaab", is best used for working on fine knitted rugs, and to pull threads out (as opposed to knotting). The wider "Baft" is best used for knotting ends of rugs.
