Knights Templar Helm The Knights Templar were a powerful crusading order of knights founded in the 11th Century with many of their number recruited from England and France. There a re many Templar castles and churches throughout England including the Temple Church in London, made famous in The Da Vinci Code. This Knights Templar Helmet is a Great Helm from the 13th century when the order was at the height of its power. It is decorated by a large black cross pattée associated with the order along with a smaller antiqued brass cross at the centre. It is hand crafted from polished 18 gauge steel and comes complete with a padded cotton lining cap that can be glued in for comfort should you wish to wear it.
