Ready to knit your first sweater? Join us as we work through the popular Flax DK Sweater by Tin Can Knits, a beginner-friendly top-down raglan pattern. In this class, you'll learn the skills needed to confidently create a sweater that fits, including choosing the correct size, understanding gauge, knitting in the round, raglan increases, separating sleeves, and finishing techniques. Thursdays, August 27th, September 3rd, 17th and October 15th6pm-8pm (4 sessions) Class level: Advanced Beginner You will need to know: Knit and purl stitches Knitting in the round Materials Needed: Flax DK Sweater by Tin Can Knits (Free Pattern available on the Tin Can Knits app or Ravelry) DK weight yarn in the amount needed for your size (we suggest Kelbourne Woolens Scout) US 6 (4mm) needles in whatever form you do knitting in the round US 4 (3.5 mm) needles in whatever form you do knitting in the round Stitch markers Darning needle HOMEWORK (before class) - knit a 6" x 6" gauge swatch in stockinette stitch with your chosen yarn on US 6 needles.
