The front and back are knit flat, separately, down to the underarms—where the pieces are joined and the body is completed in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are then picked up and knit in the round from the top down, making it easy to customise length as needed. The classic two-colour stripe sequence alternates between four rounds in the contrast colour and six rounds in the main colour, repeating every 10 rounds.
