Named after the Palace of Knossos, home to King Minos and the mighty Minotaur -most recently seen at the potter’s wheel on our logo! When the palace at Knossos was excavated they d iscovered hundreds of terracotta storage pots, some similar to this design. They feature a slightly bulbous body for maximum storage space, a wide neck for ease of filling and handles to help move the pot around. Today, these elements all make Knossos the perfect terracotta pot for a feature plant. Perhaps flanking a doorway or grouped with other pots. As well as rings and Cretan chain designs, the Cretan terracotta pot also features a regular indented pattern in rings all round the main body, making this an extra special planter.
