Description The perfect medium-warm brown stoneware, Kodiak, is our recommended dark clay for functional ware. As a smooth highly plastic mid-range clay, Kodiak achieves excellent wheel work properties without the traditional bloating issues most iron-rich clays struggle with. Kodiak fires to a warm mocha cream color and is suitable for a wide range of glazes, both commercial and mixed recipes. Kodiak also looks lovely with a clear glaze letting the clay color shine through.
