Koi Thrown Dish, d.45cm, high fired R/E, Slipped and decorated 1/1 Red Earthenware clay exudes a warmth and modesty of character that lends itself to what we as makers are trying t o achieve with this body of work – simple pots, simply made, barely touched. This piece is part of a family of pots recently made at our studio in Belfast, where every member of our small team has a hand in the making. From our range KOI, this pot is 1/1 and part of a body of sketches inspired by a Chinese pot that Stephen came across in Vietnam in 2017.
