Mzee Kombo Hamisi Tabwa, 76 years, embodies unwavering resilience in the face of profound adversity. Born into a family of 14 children, Mzee Kombo now stands as the sole survivor of his siblings, having endured the heartbreaking loss of every one of them."I've had a tough life," Kombo shares, a quiet stoicism in his voice. Lacking a formal education or a conventional job, his path has been paved with challenges. He first married at 26, a union that brought him five children before his wife tragically passed away. Later, he remarried, and together they had six more children, only for sorrow to strike again with his second wife's passing.Today, Kombo lives with his children and grandchildren, a household largely dependent on him as none of his children have employment. At 76, he continues to tirelessly work as a water vendor, eking out a modest living to support his extended family."My life before Mama Ibado Charity's support was unbearable," Kombo recounts, a flicker of relief crossing his face. His fortune shifted when Mama Ibado Charity began registering seniors for assistance. Beyond eye care, the charity provides essential medication, recently supplying him with malaria tablets that proved invaluable.In addition to medical assistance, Mama Ibado Charity has been a lifeline for Kombo's family, providing crucial food items like flour, rice, sugar, and milk among other foodatuff.
