Before purchasing, please review the official snow chain regulations for the area you plan to visit. Requirements in Victoria and New South Wales differ and may depend on your vehicle type, resort, road conditions and whether chains must be carried or fitted. Designed for 4WD and SUV vehicles with limited clearance, the Konig XG-12 Snow Chains feature thinner 12mm hardened steel links rather than traditional 15mm links. The XG-12 features a specially patterned chain with welded double traction plates to help add grip for heavier vehicles in slippery or icy conditions. They are designed to work with Anti-Lock Braking Systems and/or Electronic Stability Programs featured in most modern vehicles and include protective bumpers to help protect alloy wheels. The patented self-tensioning system allows the chains to be easily fitted in a single stop. They come in a plastic hard case for easy storage, and we recommend keeping a pair of gloves in the case to help avoid cold, wet and dirty hands when fitting. Please note snow chains are currently on pre-order. Shipment depends on availability with the supplier. Please check your chain size and car manual for vehicle-specific instructions before ordering. Contact us if you are unsure of the size or type of chain required. Snow chain warranty/guarantee does not cover chains used on a vehicle fitted with a wheel/tyre size combination that is not approved for snow chains by the manufacturer, as outlined in the vehicle owner’s manual.
