The Pillar Spacer is a small aluminum block used to maintain code-compliant spindle spacing when a Pillar section has been custom-cut on site. The spacer slips between adjacent spindles inside the rail channel to lock spacing at exactly ≤4" — the maximum opening allowed by NBC 9.8.8.5 / IRC R312.1.3.
