When should I use Koppert's Aphidend? Use Aphidend for biological control of eggs, larvae and pupae of aphids. It is best to introduce the product at the first sign of pests. How does it work? Aphid colonies disperse a smell of honeydew that attracts adult gall-midges. They deposit their eggs in these colonies, providing an immediate food source for the larvae. Upon hatching, the larvae paralyze and then consume the aphids. How to use Aphidend Turn and shake the bottle or bag gently before use Place material all in ONE place on the soil, do NOT spread it around Do not apply close to stem At the first use, test Aphidend on a small scale prior to application on crops. Best working conditions For optimal results, the soil has to be moist but not too wet. The minimum temperature for successful use of Aphidend is 15°C/59°F.
