Handcrafted by October Kim in Seoul, Korea, this round ceramic plate is made from clay mixed with river sand, creating a beautifully textured, stone-like surface. Inspired by natur al stones and ancient artifacts, Kim transforms clay into forms that feel both sculptural and elemental. The substantial raised base gives the plate an architectural presence, while the softly irregular surface reveals the character of the material and the maker’s hand.
