The Korg Monologue is a fully programmable monophonic analog synthesizer with 25 slim keys. Sharing the Minilogue's aluminum-and-wood construction in a more compact form, it delivers powerful bass and lead sounds from a single-voice analog engine with two VCOs, a resonant filter, and a built-in drive circuit. Battery operation (6x AA) makes it portable enough for performing anywhere. Analog Sound Engine Two VCOs with sawtooth, triangle, and square waveforms (VCO 1) or sawtooth, triangle, and noise (VCO 2). Oscillator sync and ring modulation are available. A dedicated drive circuit adds saturation before the filter. The envelope generator offers three modes: standard attack/decay, attack/gate/decay, and gated, each changing how the sound responds to your playing. Sequencer & Microtuning A 16-step monophonic sequencer records notes and up to four lanes of motion sequence automation. The Monologue includes 32 microtuning presets (20 factory, 6 user scales, 6 user octaves) for exploring non-Western tunings and experimental intonation, a feature uncommon in synthesizers at this price.
