Korean Bamboo Salt Toothpaste is a 5.3 oz (150 g) fluoride-free paste made in Korea by Insanga (인산가), formulated with 30,000 ppm of 9x roasted bamboo salt (jukyeom, 죽염) for everyday brushing. Insanga has spent decades on Korea's bamboo salt tradition — sea salt fired again and again over pine wood until it transforms. This paste is built on that craft: a roughly 97% naturally derived formula, no fluoride, no SLS. What Bamboo Salt Toothpaste Is Bamboo salt (jukyeom) is Korean sun-dried sea salt packed into bamboo and fired until it hardens into a mineral-dense salt. This Forest Mint paste carries it at 30,000 ppm — the highest bamboo salt level registered for a toothpaste with Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Origin & Authenticity Insanga built its name on jukyeom. West Sea sun-dried salt is packed into three-year bamboo, capped with hwangto loess clay, and fired eight times at 800–900°C. The ninth firing passes 1,300°C, where the salt melts and runs out like lava before cooling into the finished crystal — nine firings across 700–1,600°C, the same salt as our K-Lava jukyeom line. Inside the Tube 30,000 ppm 9x Roasted Bamboo Salt Traditional Korean jukyeom, naturally alkaline, for a mouth that feels clean long after you brush. Xylitol Instead of Fluoride Fluoride is left out entirely; xylitol, a naturally derived sweetener, sits in the daily-use base instead. Coconut-Derived Cleansers (No SLS) A gentle, plant-based lather without the dry, tight feeling synthetic foaming agents leave behind. Low-Abrasion Silica Polish A soft silica abrasive that lifts everyday surface buildup instead of scrubbing with coarse grit. Eight Botanical Extracts Calendula flower, chamomile, gamtae (Ecklonia cava) seaweed, green tea, dandelion, grapefruit seed, sage and ratanhia, plus myrrh tincture. Plant-Based Sweetener (No Saccharin) Steviol glycosides and xylitol give the paste its taste — no artificial saccharin. The Forest Mint Scent Forest Mint is built from the three cooling notes named on the ingredient label rather than a single flat mint blast: eucalyptus leaf oil, menthol and spearmint leaf oil — crisp and cool without the burn. Bamboo Salt Toothpaste Questions Is this authentic Korean bamboo salt toothpaste? Yes. It is made in Korea by Insanga (인산가), a long-standing Korean jukyeom maker, and carries 30,000 ppm of bamboo salt roasted nine times at 700–1,600°C. The formula is fluoride-free, SLS-free and roughly 97% naturally derived. Why is there less foam and a salty taste? It uses coconut-derived cleansers instead of SLS, so it foams less than a conventional paste while cleaning just the same. The bamboo salt gives a mild salty taste at first that fades as you brush, leaving a crisp, refreshed finish. Both are normal. Bamboo salt vs plain sea salt toothpaste — what's the difference? A sea salt paste uses salt as it comes from the sea. Bamboo salt differs in that the salt is packed in bamboo, sealed with loess and fired nine times at 700–1,600°C, which drives off moisture and organic residue and leaves a denser, more alkaline mineral salt with a rounder, less briny taste. It has no fluoride — what should I know? This paste contains no fluoride at all; xylitol and 30,000 ppm of bamboo salt carry the daily-use formula instead. If your dentist has recommended a fluoride toothpaste for you, follow that advice. Where does it ship from, and how long does it take? It ships from our New Jersey warehouse within 1 business day. Orders over $60 ship free; below that, flat-rate shipping is $9.99. The 4-pack works out cheaper per tube if your household goes through toothpaste quickly.
