After a lifetime of being "somebody's daughter or somebody's wife", she is now taking off to do some soul searching. Ted is now faced with juggling his full-time career and caring for their six year old son; cooking his meals, taking him to the park and understanding his needs and fears. For the first time in his life he feels like a fulfilled parent. But then Joanna returns, and she wants her son back.
