If you play or produce bass-heavy music and your room can take it, this is the Rokit to own. The 8 inch woofer moves serious air, so kick drums and basslines come through with proper weight rather than a polite suggestion. That makes the Rokit 8 particularly popular as a DJ monitoring speaker, where you need to feel the low end to mix confidently. Despite the size, the later generations are tuned flat enough to make real production and mix decisions on. G4 and G5 models add the DSP EQ, which matters more with an 8 inch speaker than any other size: bigger bass means bigger room problems, and being able to trim the response from the rear panel saves a lot of frustration in untreated rooms. Because we sell them as singles, you can build a pair one speaker at a time, add a booth monitor, or replace one half of a pair that has died. Match the generation and condition if you want a consistent stereo image.
