KT350 Auto-Reset Target – Operating & Maintenance Manual General Specifications Purpose: Auto-reset target for pistol or rifle. Construction: The protection shield and target are made of 3/8" (9.55 mm) AR500 steel. Silhouette: The target includes a 3/8" corrugated plastic silhouette that attaches to the back; hits on the plastic will not bring the target down. Power: Powered by a 12V cordless drill-type battery. A 3AH battery powers approximately 500–800 resets. Weight: 30 lb (13.6 kg). Operating Instructions Mounting: The unit features a bottom steel plate with two holes. It is necessary to mount the unit to a wood plate or similar surface. Because the target is heavy and resets in only 1 second, there is significant inertia that can cause the unit to flip if it is not secured to the ground. Placement: The target must be placed on level ground to ensure the mechanism operates with reliability. Startup/Shutdown: Once the battery is attached, set the ON/OFF switch to the ON position; the target should be in the UP position. If the target is not in use, either take the battery out or switch it to the OFF position. Functionality: Once the target is shot down, the mechanism waits for 3 seconds before automatically returning the target to the UP position within 1 second. Safety Warning: It is not recommended to shoot the target while it is in the process of moving back to the UP position. Ammunition Safety Guidelines Low Velocity: Can be used at a distance of 15 yards or more. High Velocity: Should not be used at a distance of less than 150 yards. Restrictions: It is not recommended to use .50 caliber ammunition. Maintenance: Eccentric Wheel Adjustment The eccentric wheel located on the target axis controls the ON/OFF mechanism. While adjustment is rarely needed, you can calibrate it as follows: Requirement: Use a No. 3 Allen wrench for the adjustment. Setting: The target must be in the UP position, where the eccentric wheel must be positioned to push the push-button switch. Procedure: First, loosen the screw. Adjust the wheel until it correctly engages the push-button switch. Tighten the screw to secure the setting. .
