A design by William Savage. The kulaps are woven from rope and made with seeds from Matchbox Bean (Burny Bean) tree (the tree produces the worlds largest legume). The kulaps are us ed as a musical instrument (rattle or shaker) in the Torres Strait during traditional Island dancing. Adults use the large size and the small is for children.
