18K Yellow Gold Emerald Kurt Wayne Naturalistic Grasshopper Brooch Pin. The piece is in excellent estate condition and ready to wear. It is marked with the serial number 54377 on t he bottom. The eyes are set with genuine emerald cabochons. The piece measures about 1.8" x 1.75" x 1.1" and weighs a total of 23 grams. Kurt Wayne was an Austrian jeweler who fled to America to escape the Nazi's in the 1930's. In the 1940's, after years of apprenticeship, he started his own company in the 1945. He passed away in 1990.
