Kyupodo is a letterpress studio in Japan that creates stationery with a touch of whimsy and playful fantasy. It is a notebook to write letters in the waves. In the first half and t he second half of the note, the design is slightly changed to express the passage of time. Made with writing paper from Life for a smooth feel. The motif on the back cover is related to the lighthouse such as weathercock and seagull. The door is an index page with a nautical chart as a motif. (Common for day and night) For the cover paper, a textured paper was use to evoke the outer wall of the lighthouse. A slim notebook that is smaller than the A5 and easy to carry!
