Found in shallow coastal waters of Japan, this distinctive sea slug grows to about 2–4 cm. Known as one of the most familiar species in Japan, it features a vivid blue body edged in yellow, with a single yellow line along its back surrounded by small yellow spots. With its smooth, compact form, it moves slowly across rocky surfaces and beneath stones. It feeds exclusively on a specific type of sponge, and is commonly found in shallow coastal areas south of Honshu.
