This embroidery patch features Kameido Umeyashiki (Kameido Plum Garden) from One Hundred Famous Views of Edo by the ukiyo-e master Utagawa Hiroshige. The scene depicts the famous p lum garden Seikō-an, owned by a farmer named Kiuemon in Kameido, Edo. The garden became renowned after being praised by Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune and later gained international fame when Vincent van Gogh created a copy of the print.
