This tea towel features a reproduction of Joseph Walter's contemporary watercolour 'The Launch', depicting the SS Great Britain in the floating harbour, decorated to celebrate her launching day. Perfect as a gift for a keen cook or a Brunel fan, the tea towel is made from 100% cotton. Joseph Walter was an English artist, gaining notice for his portrayals of Brunel's SS Great Britain and SS Great Western. This painting shows the launch of the SS Great Britain into Bristol's Floating Harbour on 19th July 1843. This image has been instrumental in the ongoing conservation of the ship, and informed how she is now decorated in her current setting as a museum.
