This classic mug design features a reproduction of Joseph Walter's contemporary watercolour 'The Launch', showing the SS Great Britain decorated to celebrate her launching day. Jos eph Walter was an English artist, gaining notice for his portrayals of Brunel's SS Great Britain and SS Great Western. This painting shows the launch of the SS Great Britain into Bristol's Floating Harbour on 19th July 1843.
