La Bien Aimée is very proud to start hand-dyeing Gilliatt, the famous Worsted weight base from French yarn company De Rerum Natura. A natural yarn produced in France, Gilliatt is a woollen spun yarn made of soft French Merino d'Arles and Black Portuguese wool. The latter gives the base a naturally heathered look which gives beautiful depth to La Bien Aimée colors. Gilliatt is a Non-Superwash Merino yarn and offers very generous yardage of 250m (approx. 270yds) for 100g skein. This is a great yarn for sweaters and winter accessories such as hats and mitts. It is strong and long lasting, does not grow with blocking and makes cables and colorwork really pop! This reference is only for the heathered base of Gilliatt. C'est une laine idéale pour les pulls et gilets, ainsi que les accessoires d'hiver comme les bonnets et moufles.
