A single vineyard, single vintage wine with zero dosage. Three barrels of Pinot Noir and one barrel of Chardonnay from the La Vida Bella Vineyard in Corralitos — typically blended into our Corralitos release, but these were standout barrels in a standout year. At disgorgement it was clear dosage wouldn't make this wine better; we simply topped with itself. Fewer than 100 cases made.Vineyard: La Vida Bella sits at slightly higher altitude than our other Corralitos sites — more sunlight once the fog burns off. Sandy, decomposed-marine-sediment soils give Pinot Noir an expressiveness at sparkling ripeness we haven't found anywhere else.Winemaking: Whole-cluster pressed, clean juice barrel-fermented with native yeast for three weeks. 12 months unsulfured on sediment in barrel. Bottled with fresh yeast and a small amount of sugar; 22 months in bottle before disgorgement. Zero dosage.
