These ornamental houseplants are native to Sout heast Asia and have the nickname 'Jewel Plants' because of their vibrant colours and striking foliage. Labisia thrive in high humidity environments and are perfect for filling out empty spaces in terrarium & bathrooms. If you are a fan of Ludisia 'Jewel Orchids', Peperomia Caperata or Pellionia Repens then we think you will love these guys too. They can be propagated by stem cutting, just make sure that you include at least one node! New growth develops in a deeper purple colour then hardens off to a darker green. Care: Light: Does well in medium light conditions, too much light can cause leaf burning or discolouration. Water: Water generously once the top third of the soil drys out. Water less in cooler months. Feed: Feed monthly during the growing season, be careful not to over feed as this can cause leaf burn. Humidity: Thrives in high humidity. Will struggle in low humidity.
