You can choose to have an 11.6" retina display screen above the eyepieces to view, capture images / videos to a removable SD card, or replay images / videos. In addition you can also output directly to a PC to capture images into the free software. If you do not select the screen you can still output HDMI to your own screen off to the side, or USB to a computer. The screen just serves as an all-in-one streamlined solution.
