The smaller version of this pattern was designed with worsted weight yarn and a 3.5 mm hook, that achieved a puppy about 6 inches tall when finished. A larger pup was designed with two strands of worsted weight yarn held double as if to be one thicker strand of yarn, and a 6mm crochet hook to achieve a dog about 10 inches tall when finished.
