It is a hard crystalline mineral that is reputed for its capability to display a wide variety of colors when light strikes it. It produces reflections of blue, green, yellow, violet, red and orange. The effect is known as “labradorescence”. It is believed to have a mystical and medicinal power. Labradorite (also called Spectrolite sometimes) is a considered by mystics to be a stone of transformation and magic. It is said to clear, balance and protect the aura, as well as being an excellent stone for general protection. .925 STERLING SILVER : Silver is a precious metal and, much like gold, is too fine to be utilized in its pure form. To make silver durable enough for use in jewelry, pure silver, which has a .999 fineness (99.9%), is often alloyed with small quantities of copper (7.5%). The copper is added to strengthen the silver and the resulting product is .925 sterling silver (92.5%).
