Labradorite Teardrop Polished Band Ring: natural Labradorite in 925 sterling silver, US size 8. One of a kind — the ring pictured. In Sacred Crystals' teaching Labradorite is the Stone of Magick — chakras: All, with Third Eye and Root named specifically. Shaped in a teardrop silhouette and set on a polished sterling silver band, the ring feels refined, balanced, and effortlessly wearable. In Sacred Crystals' Teaching Labradorite is known as a stone of magic and protection, as it has many uses in both. The Inuit people saw Labradorite as descending from the heavens — a stone of the Aurora Borealis — bringing the magical fire from the sky to the Earth. This frozen fire was thought to have mystical powers that aided in opening psychic abilities, a quality that Labradorite is still called upon for. Its color play ranges from blue to gold to purple to green, and it can be an amazing partner for meditation: you can stare at it and see new things all the time. When you ask it a question, turn it, and find answers woven into the fabric of its beautiful being. It is a valuable ally of mine and I carry it with me often, especially when I am working in one of my stores or on the road at an event where I am speaking to groups of people. And I think it will be a valuable ally to you as well — for the same reason I call upon it. As a person who is open and available to others, there are times when others latch on to that energy, and that latch can be draining. Some call that an "Energy Vampire", but I call it being a human in need. Often those who are "Vampires" have no idea they are latching on; they lack the energy that is being given and try to drink up as much as they can when they are around someone who gives. Labradorite acts as a fortifier of the energy field, allowing one to give — even to those who take and take and take — yet the energy field remains intact. This fortifying allows one to better connect to higher spiritual planes, awakening intuition and opening portals to telepathy, clairvoyance and the day-to-day magic of manifesting and controlling the seeming coincidences of life. Labradorite is a stone for healers, speakers, teachers — anyone who gives of themselves to others — and it is excellent for those who have trouble setting boundaries. It can also assist you, should you call upon it, in getting through difficult situations. Its ability to fortify the auric field can hold you up through difficult and dark times with grace, as if assisted by magic; its protective energy will shroud you with strength until such a time as you are in a safe space to release and be vulnerable. This is a stone to work with daily and over time to truly grow in tune with its magic — I suggest wearing Labradorite on your person, whether as jewelry or in your pocket as a touchstone, for a full season to begin to comprehend it. Chakras: All, with Third Eye and Root named specifically. What Makes This Piece Stone: natural Labradorite Metal: 925 sterling silver Size: US 8 Style: Teardrop Polished Band This is the exact ring pictured — one of a kind About the Stone Though the Inuit thought it rained down as frozen fire, Labradorite comes from deep in the earth — a feldspar formed by pressure, named for Labrador in Canada but found in Finland, Madagascar and the Appalachians too. Its inner flash is labradorescence, the Schiller effect: color play that seems to come from within and disappears as you move the stone. Wearing & Care Rings take more knocks than any other piece of jewelry: put it on last, after lotion and perfume, and take it off for hand-washing, housework, gardening, the gym, swimming and sleep. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Labradorite has two directions of cleavage, so it chips if dropped on a hard surface. Do not soak it. US sizes. Not sure of yours? Measure a ring that already fits across the inside — 16.5 mm is a 6, 17.3 a 7, 18.1 an 8, 18.9 a 9. A Note on Your Selection This is the piece in the photographs — one of a kind. When it is gone, it is gone. Pairs Well With Labradorite Wire Wrap Crystal Pendant, Sterling Silver Oval Labradorite Pendant, Labradorite Round Bead Bracelet.
