Description Lacteeze Infant Drops break down the lactose in milk, breast milk and infant formula, making the milk more easily digestible. For the first few months of life some babies may have difficulty fully digesting the lactose in milk, causing symptoms such as bloating, excess wind, irritability or diarrhoea. This can be an important factor in some babies with colic. Feature Reduces Colic Symptoms: Helps alleviate crying, irritability, and wind in babies whose colic is linked to an inability to fully digest milk sugars. Relieves Digestive Discomfort: Targets common issues like bloating, excess gas, and diarrhea by breaking down lactose before it reaches the baby's gut. Supports Continued Breastfeeding: Allows mothers to continue breastfeeding even if their baby is lactose sensitive, without needing to switch to specialized formulas. Natural Enzyme Action: Contains lactase (derived from yeast), a natural enzyme that mimics the body’s own digestive process. How it works A common use of Lacteeze Drops is to reduce the lactose content of baby’s feeds. Clinical trials have shown significant improvement in the symptoms of babies with colic associated with lactose intolerance after pre-treating their feeds with lactase enzyme drops. Lacteeze Drops are suitable for breast and bottle feeding. Direction Reducing lactose in cow’s milk: Add 5 drops of Lacteeze to 1 litre of milk and refrigerate for a minimum of 24 hours. This will convert 70-80% of lactose. To convert more lactose, simply refrigerate for longer or increase the number of Lacteeze drops used to 8-10 drops. Breast feeding: Express 2 tablespoons of breastmilk and add 4 drops of Lacteeze. Shake well and wait 5 minutes before giving mixture to baby. Then breastfeed like normal. Bottle feeding (suitable for breastmilk or infant formula): Add 4 drops of Lacteeze to the bottle of warm feed. As every baby may have a different level of lactose intolerance you may need to adjust the dosage up or down to best suit baby. Shake well and wait 30 minutes prior to consumption. Do not refrigerate. Advanced preparation (suitable for breastmilk or infant formula): Add 2 drops of Lacteeze to the bottle of warm feed. As every baby may have a different level of lactose intolerance you may need to adjust the dosage up or down to best suit baby. Shake well and wait 5 minutes, then refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours prior to consumption. To convert more lactose simply leave the Lacteeze/dairy mixture for longer than the minimum times specified above, or add more drops per feed. Once conversion has completed, the mixture can be frozen or heated. Ingredient Lactase 250 ALU per drop, glycerol. Storage Prior to opening store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
