I started selling furniture to get by and we realized we could split the house in half. We rented upstairs to a mother and son, and we lived downstairs. We opened a hole at one end of the house so we could access the kitchen and bathroom. We used a ladder to go upstairs through the kitchen floor and since the cat adapted we left it as is.
