Laguiole has been making our favorite pocketknives in France for hundreds of years, and it turns out they make an unbelievable corkscrew, too. This one has a five-turn spiral, a se rrated foil-cutter blade, a hand-carved wooden handle, stainless steel bolsters, and a signature forged bee on the spine. Small rivets on the handle form a “shepherd's cross” — French shepherds used to pray under it when they were out in the field and away from a church. So, you know, if the wine's got you feeling romantic and you need to conduct an impromptu wedding ceremony, or if you just want to lend some gravitas to your dinnertime prayer, it might come in useful.
